Mockingbirds can be cute, too! (pt 2 of 2) (Mimus polyglottos)

Despite the background branch being a little disconcerting, I decided to post this because of the way she has her crest up (see previous post for why I am calling her a "she"). At first glance, with her head feathers perked up, I might have thought she was an Eastern Phoebe, except that we don't have Eastern Phoebes here during the winter!
Habitat
meadow, farmland, horse pasture
Location
backyard, near Fort Ashby, WV, USA
Date taken
2-11-15
Scientific name
Mimus polyglottos
Equipment used
Olympus SP-510UZ

Oh b*** the branch LOL.... when you're trying to show some behaviour or ID or other feature it's irrelevant!! She's lovely Adele. She really is doing her best to hold those crest feathers up, isn't she.

A wee charmer - thanks for posting lass.

You could try to clone the branch out I suppose, but who sees it? The photo looks good as it is, the cute bird takes all the attention. Another fine shot.

Thanks, everyone! She thinks I'm a goddess because every time I step out on the porch, all the other birds fly from the feeders!
