Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus)

One from my encounter with a pheasant three weeks ago with extender on my 500 lens. Too close to get the whole bird, but got some nice details of it's patterns instead.
Location
Hjlstaviken, Uppland - Sweden
Date taken
2007-March-29
Scientific name
Phasianus colchicus
Equipment used

Always nice to see some feather details, Hans. They look beautiful seen this close. (y)

Thanks!

Henk - great to see you are alive!! Was considering writing you a message to get clarity in your whereabouts . I know - life has many other aspects too - like work and gardening that currently takes most of my time....

Youre going to the extremes,Hans, from landscape with a small bird to this microscopic capture. I will never comment on great detail after seeing this! :) Excellent quality!

I think your intention is to show us the whole pheasant by pieces! :) After the incredible head close-up we have here an equally ashtonishing flank close-up. Great detail, even the texture of the feathers is seen! Thanks for this unusual post, Hans, cheers!

Hans! This is so beautiful! What gorgeous colors and patterns. Thanks...

So are you are gardener also????
