Thanks Peter! My "regular" place is an open wetlands wildlife preserve by the San Francisco Bay. No trees and pretty flat. Anything happening in the sky is pretty apparent. One can see it coming from a ways off, although the downside is being able to see something but knowing you'll never get there in time!
