Ringed plover (keeping calm) (Charadrius haiticula)

At high tide a few waders took refuge on the rocks. The light was dull so high ISO and low shutter speeds were the order of the day. The background is in fact a wave from the wild sea behind.

Awesome picture Adrian, love the ground-level closeup frontal shot. That orange beak and one orange leg is complimentary to all of the white, it just pops out at you. Brilliant peace of work!!!

Very interesting posture, looks like he has only one central leg supporting.
