Savacu-de-coroa (Nyctanassa violacea)

O savacu-de-coroa é uma ave pelecaniforme da família Ardeidae mede de 50 a 70cm. Na região da testa possui coloração amarela ou ferrugem, com a lateral da cabeça preta e uma mancha pós-ocular branca. Tem vários nome em diferentes como: dorminhoco, matrião, sabacu, tamatião, taquiri e socó-do-mangue.

Habitat
É encontrado nos manguezais, pântanos e várzeas próximos do litoral.
