BTW we call it the pomegranate shrike. guess because they like to perch in that tree when they come here in September, Hint hint, they should be here soon.

They had a great breeding season up here this year,i saw 12 of them nearby the other day. Will be plenty for you to capture in a couple of months.
 
Beautiful bird, super capture Digimate...Its hard to believe that these birds and Trtles Doves used to breed in the village where I was born. I've not set eyes on either in the past 50 years plus.
