Thanks, Supermod. I have just this problem when putting a date on the paintings like this - eg. few days ago I painted & posted a gull, that was actually seen in 1995. Now, should the "date taken" be when it was seen or when it was painted?

Encouragements to You & oll others who think of picking a brush. Do it and do not mind if product does not look like Sibley, Jonsson or Forsman - You can always do it Your way (I've lately painted simplistic pictures with "false colours" (ie. those that I see as a colourblind). I do it for my own fun (I guess that's what Sibley, Jonsson & Forsman are also after), but would be surprised if here among over 7 000 registered viewers was not found an admirer to any piece of art (though in this particular case, I would rather call this duck a document).
