Palm Shrike !!
Usually shrikes perch on low exopsed branches, but his time due to the inhospitable behavior of both the bulbuls and the myna's most of the visiting shrikes take perch on the long eucalyptus trees so they can be well hided, this one was brave enough to stand on top of this 14 meter coconut palm.

Took this shot at around 8:00 am, so Mr Butcher was facing the morning sun.

OMG! This is fantastic Dulce. You couldn't ask for a better perch to set this beauty off and your beautiful Shrike is sharp and detailed. Well done girl!

o:) How different is this kind of perch from the settings these guys use in my area "to go hunting"... quite striking, makes for something different to my eyes!!! Like it LOADS, Helwa Dulce Doux g/f, very good job!!! o:) :t: :clap:
