Now we were on our way home! Along the path up from the estuary I spotted a snail.

Unfortunately I've been unable to ID it.

We were now face with an uphill battle to the bus stop, then a change of buses in the town centre. And a final walk (fortunately downhill this time) back home.

Exhausted, tired and a bit damp, but well satisfied.

EDIT: just had it identified in the forum as a Garden Snail; Cornu (formerly Helix) aspersa

SECOND EDIT: The ID was later corrected. I now discover it is a Copse Snail (which I'd never heard of). So I've changed the details on here.

A handsome looking snail seemingly enjoying the weather (lol). I assume like our garden snails they are quite variable in coloration and markings. Fabulous picture D! TFS!

Great lighting which enhances the colours of the shell.I am quite you and I can empathise with this slow moving creature, Delia.a well taken image of a snail.
