Scarlet Pimpernel
Scarlet Pimpernel (Anagallis arvensis: Primulaceae) This annual herb is one of our attractive non-native but naturalized weeds. The small flowers are ca. 1.0-1.5 cm (0.39-0.59 in) in diameter and come in two color forms scarlet and blue.
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah Vegetational Area converted to pastureland and housing development. Roadside at 86 m (282 ft) elevation.

Kurten, Brazos County, Texas, USA.

This pimpernel has the most beautiful colour - I'm really not sure I've seen a picture of one come in before Stanley.
