Playtime? (Corvus corone)

I still can't work out what this crow picked up, but it sure don't look edible LOL.

Never before have I been close enough to one of these to see any blue colouring in the eye either. This was the only picture of the set that showed it too.

In case you can't see it, it's in the very corner of his eye, as he moved his eye to look at me.

Very nice capture, well exposed and detailed it's never easy to get close to them as for the blue eyes, perhaps it could be the effect of the nictitating membrane

A beauty of a detailed close up and capture Delia, lovely job and many tfs and we have 60mph winds down here also and the trees are getting a battering.
 
Super capture and yes, I can see that blue too. Well done Delia. I'm finding a large rock in my birdbath every morning now. Guess that's payment for the fresh water I provide daily.
