Snow Goose (Anser caerulescens) juvenile blue morph. This abundant goose winters to the north, east and south of us on the Texas coast. Our views are usually overhead during migration and normally brought to our attention by their constant chatter. It’s quite rare that we have one land around where I live.

Post Oak Savannah vegetation area. Open grass farm surrounded by agricultural fields at 74 m (243 ft) elevation.

TriTex Grass Farm, northwest Bryan, Sims Lane Cut-Off, Brazos County, Texas, USA.
