Synchronised Flying (Ceryle rudis)

This Picture was taken over a small stream between Haridwar and Roorkee,north Indian cities on19.4.2010,at 3.30 p.m.I and my wife were driving back to Delhi after a dip in Holy Ganga (Ganges) during the Mahakumbh.The traffic on the bridge from where the photo was taken was very heavy.The car could be stopped with great difficulty & risk as there was hardly any space on the bridge.However the birds were completely oblivious of the racket going on fairly close to them,and the passerbies were really amused by our photographic activities.The one below is male
