Hi

Could anyone tell us a post code/street name for me to put into my Sat Nav, I may finally have a chance of popping down this weekend if the weather holds out.

Cheers

Tim.

These Siberians at Hartshill and Alrewas have led to a debate on Birdforum identification thread.

There is no debate John!! I may be wrong in suggesting Collybita (Nominate) But the fact is these birds are calling as such so should remain as Unidentified!! Just in case you still want to spout total rubbish from books & misquotes which you seem ready to do rather than actually reading in full then choosing the bits what suit you here's a sonogram from the Alrewas bird which no doubt if I went & recorded the Hartshill birds (By your own admission are calling normally)would prove the same! Just in case you want to reply iv'e also got a rather long explanation from some one a lot better placed than myself which I'm quite happy to post & also have permission to post

P.S it's a standard Collybita/Abietinus
All the best,

Dave

Cheers Brian

Looks like the weather is better on Sunday so all being well I will be heading down, I may even brave a run to see the Long Tailed Duck in Sutton Park.

Tim.

Popped down on Saturday although it had been seen around 30 minutes before I turned up, but no joy for me while I was there plenty of Chiffchaff calling and a Grey Wagtail on the river. With the Sun and Chiffchaff calling it felt quite Spring like.
