The 10x25 was manufactured in 2003.

I honestly don't know if there is a reason. My information is from the Zeiss computerised database.

I really find monoculars handy to carry around for those unplanned sightings.. The monoculars serial number is 811720… can one of you awesome folks verify year of manufacture, location and how you would rate its quality to current monoculars in the £100 category please

That serial number is showing a manufacturing date of 1971.

OMG! That is weird. I am absolutely sure that that dioptre wheel is not a Zeiss component and has been fitted by repair shop on the aftermarket.
I have downloaded Zeiss brochures going back to the previous Conquest model and at no point do any of the brochures show a dioptre wheel as grotesque and out of keeping with the rest of the binocular as this.

Can I ask another question - how about Zeiss serial number 05114586. Looking at some used Victory 10x54's - I would love to know what year they were manufactured and Zeiss support is not picking up their phone - Thank you!!!!
