Eden update Rob Spotted Redshank showing well on the estuary shoreline today being the only notable sighting along with all the usual suspects. Great spotted woodpecker seen briefly at the Eden hide. -

Rob Had 25+ ringed plover , 29 greenshank , 14 shoveller , 3 wheatear , 15 knot , osprey , dunlin , godwit , teal today plus all the usual suspects giving 42 species for the day on the estuary. 35 canada geese came in for a look around 4.50pm and then lifted again and headed in a general up... -

Eden Good Rob , it does seem to have endeared itself to the stretch between the bridge and the paper mill which is good news for all visitors to the hide for however long it decides to stay. -

Little Egret Had a Little Egret today from the Guardbridge hide which lifted after 5 mins or so and headed off up the Eden , apparently only the 9th recorded sighting in Fife. Got 4 or 5 shots which I have posted on birdguides. Richard -

Help - Which digital zoom camera ??
Despite trying not too I'm being drawn into the world of bird photography. What is recommended in terms of a good quality digital camera with good zoom facility without going to the length of changing lenses. I basically want to point and shoot outwith zooming in and out.
