    3 Goosander on the lake about 07:30 today - 1 male & 2 female. Oystercatchers in front of the Sailing Club, a solitary Kingfisher very active on the west side. Not a bad place to stop for half an hour on the way to work.

    Birding in Worcestershire

    Love the shots. I live in Pershore so regularly go to Croome. There are often Kestrels hovering off the embankment east of the river, south of the house. At weekends it's usually just too busy with visitors for birding.

    I'm afraid Gillian has proved to be a weak presenter. It hasn't improved from last year. Her halting style of delivery, pausing in the wrong places in sentences is annoying, and in one short section, she used "Now" to start every sentence - 8 times in total. The shame is that it's detracting...
