    Morning Heron!!

I have the same problem (also in Herts and ours likes to sit on top of the confier also - is it the same one??). We use wires strung around and over the pond, looks nicer than a net but is not as effective. The RSPB gives advice here...

    Sparrows and herbs!

Guess it's because they like an aromatic nest! They are stripping our Artemesia "Powis Castle" which smells a bit like lavender, but has much softer leaves. They are fighting for the best bits!

    Supertop100

I did it a simpler way, by right clicking on the supertop icon at the bottom of the page and selected "Block Images from Supertop". Now I don't get the problem either. I don't know if this will also work with Internet Explorer though. David

    Pentax scope on UK eBay

Hi This has nothing to do with me at all, I was just scrolling through eBay (.co.uk) and found this item number 6169571884, just seems like an opportunity for someone to get a Pentax 65 scope with Manfrotto 055 tripod and 701rc2 head for a reasonable price. It is a buy it now item. Hope someone...

Fieldscope III 60 HD vs. Pentax 80 ED

Hi I also obtained the PF-80 with the 20-60 zoom from the US ($779). I would agree with Dipped that the zoom is a little stiff, but in my case not so much as to change the scope orientation. I have not experienced any lens flare and have used the scope daily since receiving it. I initially...

    Digital SLR

Hi Doug I am no expert by any means, however I can give you some first hand experience of the PF-80a and the *ist DS. I have only handheld the camera to the scope which has the Pentax 20-60 zoom. My very next purchase will be an adapter to hold the 2 together. It is perfectly possible to get...

Review by 'Davjo' on item 'PF80ED'

I lurked for months reviewing what people had to say about scopes, then looked through all the scopes I could find (luckily I travel about a bit). I could not justify to myself the extra cost of the Zeiss/Swaros and got my PF80 ED-A last week with the 20-60 zoom. All I can say is stunning...

    Nest Box - scent markings?

Wish you the best of luck with your brood Yve. We also put up a couple of home made blue tit nest boxes. I followed the instructions on the RSBP web site for dimensions and specially bought a 25mm drill bit to make a hole of the correct size. In the past 2 weeks a pair of blue tits have been...
