Which 7x35 would be best for me???

Thanks again for all info everyone. I decided to take a chance on the unkown and got the 7x35 Landscouts. So far I'm very pleased with them. I did a side by side with my EIIs and the Landscouts held their own compared to the legendary Nikons. To be fair I've only been able to look through...

Which 7x35 would be best for me???

Awesome info guys thanks! ER is a bit more important than I first thought because while I'm perfectly fine with short ER my wife and daughter who both wear glasses are not and since they will also be using these binoculars overall it would be best for me to get a bin with a good amount of ER...

Which 7x35 would be best for me???

I agree WJC I'll never part with my EIIs. Thanks for the info Optic Nut. This isn't the first time I've hear that the Action Extremes should be sharper near the edges when compared to the Aculons. Seems like I might like the Action Extremes just a tab bit better than the Aculons.

Which 7x35 would be best for me???

Thanks for the info everyone. Unfortunately I don't think there are any stores in my town that carry any of these binoculars so I won't be able to test them out first hand hence the reasoning behind this thread. There is one store in my town that might carry the newer Nikons I give them a call...

Which 7x35 would be best for me???

Been doing quite a bit of online research over the last couple of weeks and I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which 7x35 porro binocular under $150 to get. Features I'm looking for are as follows. Excellent center resolution with a nice wide sweet spot in conjunction with a very wide field...

    Sightron "Blue Sky" II 8x32

Thanks for sharing that. Looks like I'll give that a go. I agree that it might be a bit overkill to use with 8x but it's mainly for my kids because they still have a hard time free handing binoculars and they still prefer to use them with a tripod not matter what the magnification.

    Sightron "Blue Sky" II 8x32

Nope never seen it that before thanks for bringing it to my attention. Looks like it should work with the Sightrons but I agree seems a bit on the expensive side.

    Possible alternative to barlows/teleconverters

Thanks for the info. I got the TN out. There was a pain in the butt retaining ring I had to remove and it came right out. Now I just need to test it out.

    Possible alternative to barlows/teleconverters

Got a Canon FD 100-200 but having trouble getting the TN out. Tried the Blue-Tac technique with no luck. Anyone here been able to successfully remove the TN from this lens?

    Possible alternative to barlows/teleconverters

Thanks guys! Looks like I'll have to give it a go.

    Possible alternative to barlows/teleconverters

Wow! You guys are getting some great results with these. How important is alignment when doing this? Does the TN need to perfectly aligned with the scope and camera to achieve the best image possible or can it be off centered a bit? Also for those who have experience doing this how do these...

Compact camera with 4k video - when will we see one ?

I too am very interested in this. Give me a RX100 with 4K and 60p and I'd be a very happy man.

    Astroscope + DSLR = Gallery!

Finally moved up to a DSLR. I haven't had much time as of late to play with it yet but here's a few pictures I was able to get of a curve-billed thrasher from my back yard. This bird reminds me of Gonzo from the Muppets. Pictures were taken around 30-40 meters. I cropped them but I don't...

    Nikon Coolpix P310 for Digiscoping

Based on that video I prefer the look of Nikon over the Sony which was a shock to me. I Thought I was going to like the RX100's footage better. The P310's video quality looks really good. Thanks for putting it together Neil.
