    hi everyone its started up here too just seen and photo'd a large red damselfly in our garden I have been going to the local pond for a couple of weeks with no luck came back yesterday without seeing anything and sat in the garden to watch the birds and we had 2 by our pond. Pete

    Frog spawn in garden pond......

    Ours spawned today we have had about 5 frogs resident in our garden for more than 10 years I hope they survive OK it seems a bit early hopefully we wont get a cold snap Pete

    H5N1 in UK

    It turns out that Bernard Mathews was warned many times about breaches in hygene and yet will be compensated by the taxpayer for his lost birds. Am I right in thinking that they feed the turkeys ground up waste animal products surely that would be a very dodgy practice ? Pete

    Kingbird - Loggerhead or Giant?

    Thanks for help identifying the Kingbird at least I know now. I have since searched the net and found that the Giant Kingbird is not found in the area I visited (Cayo Guillermo). We had a fantastic time in Cuba and saw many birds that we had not seen before Pete
