    Finland, Lapland & Varanger May 2024

    We slept two nights there. On the way to Norway and a week later on the way back to Finland. First night I slept in an iglo by the lake. The second night I slept in the main building.

    Varanger Fjord and Northern Finland by Public Transport - March 2023

    Nice report. Good read. I hope to visit the area in May 2024 when I go there on a birding trip. The chances of seeing Steller’s and King Eider will be less than in winter though. Greetings, Leo

    Lesvos 1-15 May 2023

    I have seen an Ottoman Viper once in 2017, while walking in a valley just south of the village of Napi. Also in 2017 I saw a Caspian Whipsnake on the road near Faneromeni and a couple of times I saw a Dice Snake. The picture was taken at the Kalloni Pool in Skala Kallonis.
