    Northern NJ first Juncos spotted today

    The last couple of days have seen the titmouse brigade and chicadees, but tonight I heard the familiar chirp and sure enouogh, there they were. I thought last year they were early, but they are even earlier this year, I think. They are one of my favorites, reminding me if Easter eggs.

    This fellow was perched in the top of a tree for over an hour, lots of meals flew past without him/her making a move. It has streaking on the upper part of its chest, it eyes looked dark. Thanks a bunch!
