    Motmot - Chichen-Itza, Mexico - January 2019

    I photographed this female with chicks in Wrangell-St Elias National Park in Alaska in June. I didn’t see tail and am twisting myself in knots over ID because not super familiar with species. Strong barring underneath seems right for Spruce grouse but bill maybe not right? Please advise.
