    The D7100 is a x1.5 crop. I think we can regard these as being quite similar in performance to the x1.6 crop bodies in many respects; the differences between the N&C systems not withstanding.

    Cheers for the steer Laurence. Might give the 400DO a reconsider then ? I assumed that the early reviews citing poor contrast were really on original copies and users of more recent copies of this lens seen pretty happy. As ever, I reserve the right to be wrong ! Best wishes Gary
