Filaments in SLC 8x30 WB, what could it be ?

I have a 7x30 B SLC and what I understand is that the binocular tubes are made out of composite material and the cristals are fiber glass strands. You can sent the binoculars to SONA and they can clean it for sure. I sent mine to get them refurbished and they don't show that problem, I hope this...

Please recommend me binoculars with front lenses larger than 25mm but smaller than 30mm

I kwow you want bigger than 25 but you should take into consideration, if you can affort it, the Swarovski Curio 7x21, they are incredibly stable an clear, they deliver a heavy punch, the view is so good that it rivals bigger objective binoculars.

    Best budget pocket bins?

I have never tried the Hawke ED 8x20 or the Athlon, so I wouldn't know. But I think Ed glass plus Phase coated and Dielectric coated prisms make a hughe difference.

    Best budget pocket bins?

I recently ordered a shuntu 8x20, they come with ED glass and dielectric coated prisms which really make a difference. They seem to be a copy of the SW 8x20B. There is no comparison with the Swarovski's quality but they do have very good optics. The focus wheel is a little bit sluggish, I...

Trying binoculars, what to look for to compare models.

You should try the Swarovski Curio 7x21, you will love it. It's pocketable, incredibly stable, sharp and IMO a work of art. The only problem I see is that your wife after trying them might want to keep them.

Pick Pentax Papilio or spend 5x and pick Maven ?

I currently own a Papillio 6.5x21 that I completely adore, but I use it to enjoy insects and flowers, for that purpose they are perfect. I also used to own a Maven 6x30, they are incredible, they have dialectric coated prisms and ED glass and very relaxed view. They had a very smooth focusing...

Thank you so much Jerry for your help, I asked the owner of the broken binocular and he confirmed that the binocular has fungus inside, and I dont know if they would accept a binocular with fungus problems at Leica but I can always ask. How much do you want for your 42 BA Leica body. Jorge R.
