Identification
16–17 cm
- Brown striped back
- Buff supercilium
- Short tail
Distribution
South America: found in extreme southern Chile and southern Argentina to Tierra del Fuego and Staten Island (Isla de los Estados).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Dry shrubland and temperate coastal grasslands
Behaviour
Breeding
It builds large, domed nests made of sticks or grass.
Diet
Their main diet consists of arthropods.
