Similar Species
Very similar to Sayaca Tanager but has a heavier bill with deep blue on the shoulders and a greenish tinge on the flanks.
Distribution
South America: found in coastal south-eastern Brazil (Minas Gerais to Rio Grande do Sul)

This is a monotypic species[1].

Diet
Their diet consists mainly of fruit.
Breeding
Their 2 blue eggs have purplish-black spots on them.
