Family: Passerellidae
Description
New World Buntings and Sparrows. A large family of passerine birds. They are seed-eaters, as evidenced by possessing relatively large, strong bills. Many members are known as Sparrows, however the North American Sparrows are not closely related to the Old World Sparrows, which are in family Passeridae.
Taxonomy
Amphispizopsis is a genus in the family Passerellidae.
