- Plain chestnut head
- Mottled brown and black upperparts
- Chestnut underparts, spotted white
Distribution
South-east Asia: found in Cambodia and Thailand.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- A. c. diversa: Siamese Partridge
- Tropical forests of south-eastern Thailand
- A. c. cambodiana:
- Tropical forests of south-western Cambodia
- A. c. chandamonyi:
- South-western Cambodia (Cardamom Mountains)
Diversa is sometimes regarded as a separate species Siamese Partridge[2].
Habitat
Moist montanes and lowland forests.
