Distribution
Asia: found in China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Eastern and Western Himalayas, Bangladesh and Bhutan,
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand.
Taxonomy
Formerly placed in genus Tesia.
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- C. c. castaneocoronata:
- Eastern Himalayas to Bangladesh, northern Myanmar, southern Tibet and north-western Thailand
- C. c. ripleyi:
- C. c. abadiei:
- Northern Vietnam (north-western Tonkin)
Habitat
Moist montanes and lowland forests.
Behaviour
Terrestrial.
Diet
The diet includes insects.
