Identification

  • Large white leg-puffs (fringed cinnamon)
  • Dark bronze forked uppertail
  • Coppery-gold undertail

Female

  • Shining dark green upperparts and sides
  • White throat and underparts )spotted green)
  • Red, gold and blue spots on belly, flanks and undertail
  • Small white leg-puffs

Distribution

South America: found only on the western slope of Western Andes of Colombia (Cauca).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Wet forest.

Behaviour

The diet includes nectar.
