South America: found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

  • Tropical and subtropical Eastern Andes of Colombia

  • S. m. brunneicaudalis:
  • Eastern Ecuador and north-eastern Peru (San Mart¡n and Loreto)

Habitat

Lowland damp forests.
