Distribution
South America: found only in the Andes of central Peru (Junín).
Taxonomy
Moved to genus Asthenes by Clements (2010)[1] and IOC (2010)[1].
Habitat
High-altitude grassland, bamboo shrubs.
Behaviour
The diet includes insects.
