Western Africa: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Uganda
African Islands: Gulf of Guinea Islands, Bioko (Fernando Po)



There are 3 subspecies[1]:

  • F. o. ocreata:


Moist lowland forests and montanes.



Their diet consists almost entirely of insects, including winged termites, moths, beetles and caterpillars.
