Coracina graueri
Identification
Length 22 cm.
Adult male: Upperparts, throat and breast dark grey (with greenish-blue gloss in good light); belly white.
Adult female: Similar to the male, but paler grey, and vent is buff.
Similar species
White-breasted Cuckoo-shrike is bigger and much paler above; ranges do not overlap.
Distribution
Central Africa: found in eastern Zaire and adjacent south-western Uganda
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[2].
Habitat
Montane and transitional forest at altitudes of between 1150 and 1900 m.
Status
Classified as Near Threatened in the 2010 IUCN Red List as it has a fairly small population and its habitat is being lost.[1]
Behaviour
Diet
Forages, mainly for caterpillars, in the understorey and upper branches of trees.
