Identification
17–18 cm
Similar Species
Resembles the larger Dark-bellied Cinclodes, but bill finer and central belly pale. Also easily confused with the Buff-winged Cinclodes and the Seaside Cinclodes.
Distribution
South America: found in Chile and southern and eastern Argentina

Habitat
Found at high elevation in the Andes, scrub and subalpine grazed meadows. Observed at heights around 2500 m.
Behaviour
Diet
A ground feeder, their main diet consists of arthropods.
