  • Yellow crown stripe

Distribution

South America: found in Colombia and Venezuela.

Taxonomy

Formerly placed in genus Basileuterus.

Subspecies

There are 3 subspecies[1]:

  • M. c. pallidula:
  • M. c. zuliensis:
  • Sierra de Perijá (Colombia/Venezuela border)
  • M. c. cinereicollis:
  • Eastern Andes of Colombia (Santander del Norte to western Meta)

Habitat

Humid forest and forest edges.

Behaviour

Diet

There is little information available. The feed in the understorey.
