Endemic to the Bismarck Archipelago in Papua New Guinea.
Taxonomy
Formerly considered conspecific with Orange-fronted Hanging Parrot.
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Coastal and low hill forests.
Behaviour
Diet
They are thought to eat flowers and small fruits, but there is little published information.
