Distribution
Found in central and northern Colombia and adjacent nortwest Venezuela.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considered conspecific with Dull-mantled Antbird.
Formerly placed in genus Myrmeciza by Gill and Donsker.
Habitat
Lowland moist forest, deep ravines and near streams.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes spiders, cockroaches, beetles, crickets, woodlice and larvae.
Breeding
It builds a cup shaped nest. The clutch consists of 2 cinnamon spotted white eggs.
