South America: found in western Argentina
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly included in Greenish Yellow Finch.
Habitat
Arid Monte Desert in western Argentina.
Behaviour
Voice in Monte Yellow Finch has a staccato quality different from Greenish Yellow Finch.
