Identification
15 cm. A medium-sized Acrocephalus warbler with distinctly rounded wings and a thin, straight bill.

- Yellowish-white chin and throat, light rufescent underparts, brightest on flanks
Sexes similar, juveniles undescribed.
Distribution
Endemic to Nauru Island (Melanesia).
A restricted-range species with a very small range.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Has been considered conspecific with Nightingale Reed Warbler in the past.
Habitat
Found in the remaining forest on steep sides of the island escarpment. Also in scrub areas and gardens in coastal areas.
Behaviour
Diet
Feeds on insects.
Seen foraging in coconut palms in coastal areas.
Breeding
Breeding season probably all year. The nest is placed 0.45 to 3 m above the ground in a bush or low undergrowth. Probably lays 3 eggs.
Movements
This is a sedentary species.
