• M. m. maximiliani:
Yungas of Western Bolivia (La Paz)
• M. m. argentina:
Central Bolivia to northwestern Argentina (Western Cordoba, Northern San Luis)
• M. m. pallida:
Southeastern Bolivia and chaco of Western Paraguay and Northern Argentina
