Distribution
South America: found in tepuis of southern Venezuela to northern Guyana and extreme northern Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1], which in the past has been included as a subspecies in White-fronted Manakin2.
This species has in the past been placed in genus Pipra.
Habitat
Montane forests and forest edges.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of small fruits and insects, taken in hovering flight.
Breeding
Very little information available. The male displays at a lek with a series of rapid flight manoeuvres.
