Distribution
Discontinuous in Africa south of the equator: Congo, DRC and Tanzania, and south to eastern South Africa
Taxonomy
Cisticola cinnamomeus was recently split from C. brunnescens (Pectoral-patch Cisticola); C. cinnamomeus is recognised as a separate species by Clements[1], Dickinson [2], Gill & Wright[3], Hockey et al.[4] and Sinclair and Ryan[5].

Damp areas in grassland.
