South America: found locally in marshes of eastern Ecuador and eastern Peru.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
It has been placed in Chrysomus or in Agelasticus.
Habitat
Swamps. Particularly edges of well vegetated oxbow lakes.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of insects and seeds.
