Distribution

Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Sudan.

Taxonomy

Prinia somalica has two subspecies:^[1]

• P. s. erlangeri

• Southeastern South Sudan, southern Ethiopia, central and southern Somalia, northeastern Uganda, and Kenya

• P. s. somalica

• Extreme northern Somalia

Habitat

Dry savanna and shrubland.
