- Eudromia formosa
Identification
Length 39cm. This bird is grey-brown to black above and has some scattered small white spots. Below it is pale buff to white, and is heavily barred with black. Its head has black crest, and there is a dusky stripe behind its eye bordered above and below by white stripes.
Distribution
Northern Argentina.
Taxonomy
There are two subspecies.[1]
- E. f. mira
- E. f. formosa
- Quebracho woodlands of north-central Argentina
Habitat
Scrubland.
