tominadel's review I have traversed this trail for over 1000 miles since 1-1-06. It is a fascinating sanctuary for birds and other wildlife. The corridor is not very wide in most areas and easy to view canopy birds. The brush along the trail is very dense making it difficult to spot birds like Wood Thrushes, Brown Thrashers and Gray Cat-Birds, etc. But you can see them from time to tiime. The song display from the Vireo's, Robins, Grosbeaks, Wrens, etc. is a joy unto itself. Pros
- Most song bird species found in the state are found here. Shallow water river excellant for Heron's
- King Fisher
- Waterfowl. Truly three different habitats. Riparian area at bottom
- transforming to dense woodland into scrub at top.
Cons
- Mosquitos
