- White supercilium
- Grey hindneck
- Olive-green mantle and back with black streaking
Distribution
They are found in the mountains of Turkey, Armenia, northern Georgia, Iran and Yemen.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
Clements recognizes these subspecies[1]:
- P. o. ocularis: mountains of Turkey, Armenia, northern Georgia and Iran
- P. o. fagani: high mountains of Yemen; winters to southern Arabia
Habitat
Temperate grassland. Breeding in rocky pastures with scattered berberis.
Behaviour
Diet
There is not a lot known. They forage on the ground for insects and seeds.
Breeding
Their nest is a cup constructed from twigs, leaves and stems. There is not much more information available.
