Location: Mishmi Hills, Arunachal Predesh, N. E. India

Identification

Orange-chestnut plumage on its belly extending up to the throat. The rest of the plumage is a very dark blue, conspicuous short, white eyebrow. The pale bill turns black when the male is breeding. The female is slaty-brown above, dark brown face, pale rufous throat, and pale belly. Long, pink legs.

Distribution

China, India, and Myanmar.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Moist lowland forest, montane forest and moist shrubland.

Behaviour

The diet includes beetles.
